Big weekend for USD basketball team
The USD men’s and women’s basketball teams have two North Central Conference home games this weekend, starting with tonight’s women’s game at 6 p.m. in the DakotaDome against Minnesota-Duluth.
The Bulldogs, who look to be underdogs on both the men’s (8-12, 1-4 NCC) side and women’s (4-15, 1-4 NCC) side, most league games are never a [...]

Little returns, Coyote men win
The Coyote men’s basketball team returned home to play in front of a fairly large student body crowd last night, defeating Nebraska-Omaha 81-70.
The sixth-ranked Coyotes connected on 11-of-12 free throws in the final two and a half minutes to hold off a Mavericks squad that had already knocked off two top 10 teams this season.

Halftime
Well it has been a physical game so far. Neither team has been able to gain a clear advantage so far, as evident of the score 37-37. Tyler Cain leads the Coyotes in scoring with 10 points along with 7 rebounds. They only have him down for one block, but it should be at the [...]

First half of the men’s game
Despite an injured ankle, Jesse Becker is playing for the Coyotes tonight. It will be interesting to see how well his ankle will hold up. Jesse is very important from the three point line. Plus he has such a quick penetration to the basket where he will either take the layup or, as he is [...]

A look back at MSU-Mankato basketball
So I was kind of right with my pre-game entry about what to expect with Saturday’s double header in the DakotaDome for the USD men’s and women’s basketball teams with MSU-Mankato.
As I stated in the entry, the women would win by 15-20 while the men would get a tight game.
Can I get a [...]
